Maalaea Bay

Maalaea Bay is a quiet village with some of the most affordable Maui resorts. Situated away from busy tourist areas, everything is within a short drive. Lahaina and its Front Street are twenty minutes north and the town of Kihei is only 10 minutes south.

At the entrance to Maalaea Village, is the Maalaea Harbor where you can charter boats for whale watching, scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing. Next to the harbor is the largest aquarium in Hawaii, the Maui Ocean Center, home to thousands of marine species native to these waters. They are displayed in natural, living coral reefs with many activities and educational experiences.

A natural reef with the sounds of the ocean waves crashing, or a very short walk, brings you to the five mile stretch of white sandy beach that goes all the way to Kihei with no development to interrupt long walks or runs in the morning or evening.
