Our Puamana home is about 100 steps to the ocean and 60 steps across a meadow to the Dolphin Pool (perfect for family fun). The neighborhood is walk and bike-friendly, where you can join a welcoming community on the lawn or at the clubhouse for the nightly ritual of sunset viewing.
Both front and back outside sitting areas of Hale Aloe afford you privacy, without the continual foot traffic of ocean front properties. Enjoy beverages and dining on your lanai, where you will find some of Puamana’s oldest plumeria trees, swaying palms, a bubbling fountain – and lots of aloe. It’s the hardiest thing in our garden and heals a sunburn or irritated skin – and why we call our place Hale Aloe (House of Aloe).
Hale Aloe perfectly accommodates a family of six, or two friendly couples. Recently renovated, the unit features cool travertine floors throughout, double-pane windows, new appliances; decorated in a contemporary Hawaiian motif, Hale Aloe is filled with local and vintage art. The kitchen is fully equipped for indoor cooking, and there’s a Weber BBQ for outdoor grilling. Your home in Paradise has a washer/dryer, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, land line phone, free wireless Internet, 4 built-in USB charging stations, and 3 flat screen TV’s (all cable connected).
The spacious master bedroom features a king-sized bed with sumptuous private bath and walk-in shower. The loft bedroom offers a choice of sleeping options: a full-size platform bed with drawers, a twin-sized fold-down couch, small air bed, and two fold-out sleep cushions. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room has a comfy new Tempurpedic? mattress.
Our unit is just a short walk from the clubhouse, tennis and badminton courts, 2 additional swimming pools, and ½ mile of shoreline. We have a seasonal sandy beach on the property, and a year round popular surfing beach is just south of our unit (Puamana Beach Park) where you can catch some of the best waves in West Maui. This unit is located near the highway and there is some road noise if sitting outside on the lanai. But the double pane window block the sound when indoors. Please note that this unit is allowed only one vehicle in a non-covered stall.

Policies
Check in and Check out time: Check in time is 4:00 P.M. the day of arrival. Check out time is 10:00 A.M. the day of departure. Late check-out, or additional days may be arranged, subject to availability plus payment of additional fees.
Use – The premises are to be used exclusively for residential purposes. No retail or other commercial use of premises is permitted. The premises are not to be used for meetings, receptions or for parties in excess of 10 people over the number of registered Guests. Overnight accommodations are restricted to the number of Guests agreed upon in advance and stated in this agreement. Any unregistered Guests shall be charged an additional $50.00 per night, per person for non-disclosure of the fact. No Parties or Under Age Drinking will be allowed.
Quiet Time – Guests are advised that noise travels easily, and that it is important to be respectful of others at all times. There is a noise curfew at 10:00 PM in all residential areas and all Guests are expected to comply with this rule.
Unit Capacity – Each unit is designed to accommodate a certain number of guests. The number of guests permitted in the unit should match the number on your confirmation. All persons, including children staying at this vacation unit must be listed on the Reservation Confirmation. Please notify us ahead of time if the number of people in your party has changed. Any Guest not listed on the Reservation Confirmation will be considered unauthorized and an additional fee of $50.00 per night per person will be charged.
Deposits/Payments – A 25% deposit must be received along with a signed Reservation Confirmation within 48 hours of making your reservation. The final payment, made by E-Check, check or money order in US funds, must be received 60 days prior to arrival. In lieu of a security deposit we have included a Property Damage Insurance of $59 which provides coverage for covered accidental damages up to $2000. There is also a $10 per day (maximum $100) Administrative Fee required by Puamana Community Association that will be collected at time of booking. There is a 2 car maximum. Parking is complimentary for one car. There is an additional $10 charge for a second vehicle. Rates subject to change. At certain units there is only one rental car permitted.
Method of Payments – Visa, Master-Card, American Express, Check or Money Order
Cancellation Policy – All payments are non-refundable 60 days prior to arrival unless the unit can be rerented. There will be a $300 cancellation fee assessed plus any travel insurance charges on all cancellations. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance. No refunds are made for un-used nights regardless of cause.
Travel insurance – We recommend that you purchase travelers insurance. This is an optional fee which is automatically added to your reservation and will be removed if you decline the insurance within 10 days of your deposit. Please click here (www.vacationrentalinsurance.com/330cert) to obtain your travel insurance policy or certificate of insurance for your Covered Trip if you have paid for or authorized payment for the travel insurance. The travel protection, if purchased, includes insurance coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Baggage Delay, Baggage and Personal Effects, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Emergency Assistance, Medical or Dental Expense, and Rental Car Damage. Please read your document carefully as certain limitations, restrictions and exclusions apply. The insurance coverage is underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Company and the noninsurance assistance services are provided by CSA’s designated provider. Please contact CSA at 866- 999-4018 if you have any questions.
Damage – The Guest will at the Guest’s expense and at all times maintain the premises, furnishings and appliances in clean and good condition and will surrender the same upon termination of this Agreement in as good a condition as when received. The Guest understands that the Guest will be responsible for repair of all damage.
Property Damage Protection – In lieu of a security deposit we have included Property Damage Insurance for $59 which provides coverage for accidental damages up to $2000. This Property Damage Insurance plan covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $2000. Any damages that are not covered or exceed $2000 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Personal Property of Guests – Guests are advised that personal items lost or stolen are not the responsibility of the Owner. Owner assumes no responsibility for ensuring that the residence is locked and secured during the period of occupation by Guests. In addition, Owner shall be held harmless from all claims or causes of actions arising from the rental and occupation of the residence by Guest.
Supplies – A start up amenities package provided for our Guests includes; automatic dishwasher and hand soap, a limited supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Any supplies beyond the initial start up amenities package provided by Owner are to be supplied by the Guest.
Maid Service – The Units will be clean upon your arrival. Additional maid service at the guest’s expense is available upon request.
Maintenance – Every effort is made to keep the equipment and appliances in good working order, however, the operation of all appliances cannot be guaranteed. A 24-hour emergency cell number is available to report major appliance, plumbing or air conditioning problems. Authorized employees or repairmen may enter the premises during business hours for purposes connected with repair, care or maintenance of rental unit. We will do our best to have any repairs completed quickly; however, NO DISCOUNTS OR REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EQUIPMENT OR APPLIANCE FAILURE.
