Beachfront condo #202 is a nicely upgraded 2 bedroom/2 bath unit on the 2nd floor of building 2. There is central A/C throughout. The interior is clean and bright with beautiful furnishings and a gorgeous new kitchen. As you prepare a fresh, locally sourced meal for dining on your private lanai, you can gaze out at the incredible blue Pacific and forget all your cares. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, a lovely king bed, and a large window for more spectacular sweeping ocean views. The second bedroom has twin beds and its own bathroom, while the living area has a sleeper sofa that makes this unit suitable for up to 6 guests. Flat screen TV with complimentary cable, WiFi, and local phone to keep you connected and entertained; central AC and ceiling fans to keep you cool and an in-unit washer/dryer to keep you clean, conveniently. The views are stunning enough to knock your socks off, if you were wearing any. (But why would you be, Maui is flip flop and bare feet territory!) The resort itself is a real gem. Nestled into a quiet, safe community, the vibe here is one of low-key local that lets you know you are in an authentic place, not some theme-resort. Centrally located in North Kihei on the shores of Sugar Beach, Kihei Beach Resort is a favorite of return travelers. From here you can venture forth with low commute times (15-45 minutes) to enjoy most of the awesome adventures and attractions Maui has to offer. Two long & winding roads, one to the summit of Haleakala & the other through the rainforest heading to eastside Hana. These are much longer treks to places remote, actually; but places not to be missed if one can help it. On days you want to stay close to base, stroll the (almost empty) 3 mile stretch of white-sand shoreline known as Sugar Beach. The resort’s 1.3-acre grounds tempt you to stay and relax by the pool, sunbathe on the beach, or grab a lounge chair under a palm tree and read a book. From the grounds & pool you have panoramic, nothing peek-a-boo-about-them coastline views that extend south to the Makena cinder cone, sweep out across the water past Molokini Crater, neighbor islands Kahoolawe & Lanai and north to Maalaea Bay with its backdrop of white windmills marching up the ridges of the West Maui Mountains. | | During high season (Dec-April) humpback whales (mamas, babies, and guardian males) find shelter in Maalaea Bay; the sight of them breaching is always thrilling. All year round you will savor spectacular sunrises and sunsets by day, and star-studded skies and silvery moonbeams glittering on the Pacific by night. | | It’s fun that Kihei Canoe Club is next door to the resort. Watching the canoes during practices or races is a cool diversion most other resorts can’t offer. On Tuesdays & Thursdays they offer visitors an opportunity to paddle out with them ($40 donation) so worth it! Across the street is a quaint collection of local treasures: a farmer’s market featuring local fruits & vegetables, Ululani’s Shave Ice Store, Sugar Beach Bake Shop, & an ABC convenience store. You will find yourself there more often than you think, it’s one of those spots! And just down the road a bit toward Kihei, you will notice a most charming church, painted plantation green with white trim & exuding the Aloha spirit. Keolahou Hawaiian Congregational Church holds services in English & Hawaiian on Sunday mornings & open to all; on Thursday evenings they host 808 Uke Jam, a gathering of ukulele enthusiasts of all different levels who play, sing, learn & share aloha; it is free & open to the public. It is priceless. By the way, this condo is professionally managed by Destination Maui Vacations, an on-island management company with more than 40 years of history on the island. KIHEI BEACH RESORT RENTAL AGREEMENT
Booking Rules:
A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation.
As renters, you are responsible for damages caused by you or your guests; these include damages to the unit, items within the unit (including towels and linens), and to common areas. We understand that accidents happen, so please let us know if any occur.
If, upon arrival, you notice any damages to your unit, please notify us immediately to avoid possible misunderstandings.
Supplies:
Your unit is supplied with a starter kit which includes laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, tissues, and toilet tissue. Replace these on your own as you need them.
You are not obligated to re‐stock the unit with any used items from your starter kit.
Your unit is also equipped with sufficient bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, dish towels and wash cloths.
For condos without in‐unit washer/dryers, please use the laundry facilities on the 3rd and 5th floors to wash these items as needed.
Deposits/Cancellation
All payments are non‐refundable.
To confirm your stay, a non‐refundable deposit of $200, and an additional $39.99 of damage insurance are due upon booking. These will act as your cancellation fee should you cancel your visit.
Your remaining balance is due 60 days (two months) prior to your arrival date.
We do recommend travel insurance and can offer you options through Generali. If you are interested, please enquire with us before your final payment is due.
Smoking:
All units at the Kihei Beach Resort are Non‐Smoking. A designated smoking area is located on the north end of the building.
Any evidence of smoking within the unit or lanai area will result in charges, the
minimum of which is $400.
Front Office Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Monday – Saturday.
Check In/Out:
Check‐In time is after 3:00 PM, but before 4:30 PM (the end of office hours)
Check‐Out time is before 11:00 AM.
Early Check‐Ins and late Check‐Outs are based on availability. Please contact Kihei Beach Resort in advance, so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
